Data supply and presentation

Are you spending too much time trying to find economic, business and financial data that you need, mostly because you are not acquainted with the data sources? Then you finally wade through the sources, but need to present the data to clients and/or work colleagues/management in a user-friendly and efficient fashion. I-Biz provides the solution with three basic services:

• Ad-hoc data supply meets your one-time data needs rapidly, based on our experience with data sources both in Israel and abroad. We can also provide data on an ongoing basis. The data are provided in computerized form on Excel worksheets.
• Databases: We can provide you with a user-friendly database to meet your needs, and instruct you how to operate it independently, so that the data are always at your fingertips. We can also update the database for you, or point you to the data sources so that you can do it yourself.
• Powerpoint presentations: Presentations are the most efficient method of conveying economic/business information. We can provide customized Powerpoint presentations at the macro-, sector, regional and company levels. Some examples of recent I-Biz presentations, created for clients, are:

Data analysis

Raw data need to be analyzed in order to be useful, but many economic/business entities are not trained in the field. I-Biz provides 2 vital services in this area:

• Trend analysis: most economic data, at all levels including the company level, are influenced by seasonal and other factors. These influences need to be extracted from the raw data in order to identify trends. We have accumulated vast experience in the area of trend analysis and can offer this experience on a one-time or ongoing basis. We can also provide you with a computerized system to do trend analysis on your own. A major example of our work in this area is monthly trend analysis for Manpower (Israel) of data on help-wanted advertising, an important indicator of labor market developments.
• Forecasting: Future trend analysis means forecasting, crucial for policy making at all levels of the economy, macro- and micro. We can provide forecasts on a one-time or ongoing basis or construct a computerized system for you to forecast independently. The system would draw data either from official channels or from your own sources.. Our latest major project in this area is: Forecasting air travel flows to and from Israel, 2007-2017, for the Israel Airport Authority.

Reports on economic sectors

You are an investor, interested in becoming involved in a particular sector of the economy - either via a joint venture, direct investment in or purchase of a company active in that sector, but you know little about the current situation in the sector, nor about its performance over time and most important - where the sector is heading. Your decision to invest depends, first and foremost, on your knowledge about the sector. I-Biz will prepare an in- depth report on the sector at the macro- and company levels, including historical analysis, current developments and forecasts of future prospects. Examples of recent I-Biz reports in this area:

1. A two-report study of the electric motor industry in Israel for a large Australian corporation.
2. An analysis of the exiting policy of Israeli hi-tech companies, for the US Merage Foundation.  

Regional analysis

Because of great differences in the socio-economic ranking of different geographical regions in Israel, there has been growing interest in recent years, both by the government and other official and non-official bodies, to somehow bridge these differences. I-Biz is in close contact with - and has done work for - agencies that deal, among other things, with regional development. In the past few years, I-Biz has carried out regional analysis principally for the Jewish Agency:

1. An economic analysis of Israel's Northern region
2. An in-depth look at the economy of the northern town Kiryat Shemone.

In addition, I-Biz was commissioned to produce two reports (macro- and construction and real estate) on the economy of the City of Haifa, for the Haifa Chamber of Commerce. I-Biz plans to expand its involvement in regional analysis.

Customized research projects

Customized research projects have always been a central element in the I-Biz work portfolio, given our expertise and experience in data research,organization and economic/business analysis. Projects undertaken by I-Biz in recent years include:

1. Policy regarding immigration to Israel of the Falashmura community in Ethiopia - for the Jewish Agency.
2. Indicators of labor market developments - for the Ministry and Industry, Trade and Employment.
3. Forecasting air traffic flows to and from Israel - for the Israel Airport Authority.
4. Analysis of indicators of innovation in Israel - for the European Union.
5. A study of food and chemical imports into Israel - for the Itochu Corporation in Japan.

Lectures

I-Biz brings its intimate knowledge of the Israeli economy to the attention of the public through lectures: Yaacov Fisher has done three North American tours - in May 2006, April-May 2007 and March-April 2008, updating business audiences in the US and Canada about the current state of the economy. Similar tours are planned for the future. Economic briefings are also provided by I-Biz to visiting delegations to Israel. I-Biz experts are available to lecture or provide lecture material on economic and business topics.
